ALBERTO GIMENEZ RECEIVES THE GOLD MEDAL AWARDED BY FORUM EUROPE 2001

The Forum Europe was founded in 1996 and is widely recognized at European level. Some of the prominent figures who have received the award are Josep Piqué, Luis del Olmo, Carmen Posadas, Quique Sarasola and Joaquín Barraquer.

 

            During a gala dinner held last Friday 15th at the Westin Palace in Madrid, Alberto Gimenez received at the hands of Don Jose Luis Salaverria, president of the Forum, the gold medal of the annual awards given by Forum Europe 2001. These awards are given to those who have distinguished themselves by their prestige and experience in the professional, cultural, political or social world.

 

While receiving the award, Alberto Gimenez said: "Thank to the organizers for this award that comes to recognize the great work that professionals and workers of Casaverde Group have been doing in recent years, helping to place the group as an innovation and quality of service leader in the healthcare sector".

 

"This work”, emphasized Gimenez, “would have been impossible without a dedicated team really which is also loves the project".

 

Alberto Giménez is manages Casaverde Group as CEO. It has four health centres and two neurological and physical rehabilitation hospitals. The group employs more than four hundred people and is involved in a period of expansion with several projects in different Spanish territories. It also has international presence through an alliance with several hospitals from Alicante, Mediterranean Health Care. The association offers surgery and rehabilitation in many different medical specialties all over the world. Additionally, Casaverde Group is working with the University Miguel Hernández in an sports program for disabled people, and in another projects with the University of Alicante about holidays for seniors in Spain where other European universities will be involved.

 

The group has a foundation that works especially in research and training. One of their projects is the design of a robot that works with virtual environments, and whose features are unique in Europe for upper limb rehabilitation.

 

Through Casaverde Foundation, Alberto Gimenez chairs the Economics and Health Foundation in which collaborate prestigious institutions in Spain like IESE Business School, the Boston Consulting, Lilly Foundation, the IDIS Foundation, the Spanish Society of Healthcare Executives (SEDISA), the national nursing association (ANDE), the National Federation of the Dependence Assistance and Inverbio Investment Funds CRB among others.

 

During the ceremony, Alberto Giménez declared: "These awards help to continue working on new innovative projects that improve the health and care of our citizens. Health, as a quality of life, is one of the most precious treasures we have. The GDP who measures the wealth of a country should include not only economic data but also indicators of well-being or quality of life of its citizens."
